2019 World Teachers Day: “Like Peter Who Denied Christ, Some Teachers Have Denied Being Teachers” - NW MINSEC Boos.

The North West Regional Delegate for Secondary Education, Mr. Ngwang Roland Yuven says, insecurity has caused some teachers to start behaving like the Biblical Peter who denied Jesus Christ. While addressing those who turned out to celebrate the 26 th edition of World Teachers Day, Saturday October 05 th , 2019 at the esplanade of the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education, Mr. Ngwang Roland Yuven said, some teachers have denied being teachers just like Simon Peter denied Christ in the Bible. Celebrated with the theme: “Young Teachers ” , The Future of The Teaching Profession, the day was celebrated at a time teachers in the region are faced with a lot of challenges especially in the area of security. Bali Nyonga: Lives Lost As Soldiers Raid Village.

Reports from Bali Nyonga, a village in Mezam Division of the North West Region of Cameroon say, many have sought  refuge in bushes following military raids on the village, Friday October 04, 2019. Sources in Bali have told  DrayInfos  that, closed to nineteen armored cars and one caterpillar invaded Bali thereby triggering a serious fight between Pro Independence fighters in Bali and the Cameroon military. “They passed at Ntafoang Squares in Bali Nyonga and shot one civilian. Two pro independence fighters were also killed. One was first shot and as he colleagues went to carry the body, the second one was shot. The military also recorded casualties but it was difficult to lay hands on the exact figure.  A nephew of mine in the core says four soldiers lost their lives though I have not been able to confirm” .  This driver told  DrayInfos . “We Need Peace, Not Food”- IDPs Tell Government In Bamenda.

During the recent distribution of Humanitarian Aids to Internally Displaced Persons at the esplanade of the NW governor’s office  by the Bamenda Regional Center for Humanitarian Assistance, many IDPs called on government to ensure that, peace returns saying food is not really what they need but Peace. Though they appreciated and thanked government for trying to see in to it that, they live a normal life, they called on government to embrace the path to peace so that, they can return to their communities and that food is not really what they are in need of. This lady is an internally displaced person from Njikwa. She says she and her family came to Bamenda after their house was razed to the ground. Life’s Battle Lessons Book Launch: “Youths Go Astray Because Of Parental Neglect”- Tosah Francis Tiifu.

The launching ceremony took place Sunday September 29 th , 2019 at the Saint John Bosco Youth Center, Big Mankon Cathedral. During the launching ceremony, the author, Tosah Francis Tiifu said : “ In most communities and families, young people are going astray because of parental neglect. To succeed in life, young people need to be aided. They need support from their parents, be it mentally or physically to excel in their various Commit ments ” . Nine Fuel Tankers Rescue Bamenda From Imminent Fuel Scarcity.

By Raymond Dingana.  Reports from Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon say, close to nine fuel tankers escorted by armed to the teeth soldiers have made their entry in to Bamenda in the evening hours of Tuesday September 21. This is coming barely days after two fuel tankers were set afire in Akum, a small village in Santa sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon by those eye witnesses say were armed men in civilian attires, Saturday September 21 st , 2019. The incident was greatly condemned by this driver of a travel agency in Bamenda .Hear him : “ I think such a move was uncalled for given that, there was no restrictions on movement in and out of the region. Pre Dialogue Brainstorming Meeting In Bamenda: Root Causes, Cease Fire, Amnesty, Form Of State Dominate Talks.

In order for the North West Region of Cameroon to better prepare for the upcoming dialogue, the governor of the North West Region last September 21, 2019 organized a pre dialogue brainstorming meeting that brought together participants from all walks of life at the MINEPAT hall Up Station, Bamenda. Many of those who answered present at the meeting suggested that, for the dialogue to bear any meaningful fruits, the root causes should be looked in to, all those arrested as a result of the crises be granted amnesty, a cease fire be declared, power alternation between Francophones and Anglophones, the form of the state be discussed, decentralization not a solution to the Anglophone crises, English and French be given equal status, independent judicial system among others should be given pride of place. The North West Regional Delegate for Secondary Education, Mr. Ngwang Roland Yuven has reiterated the need for secondary school authorities in the region to insure that, Internally Displaced students are given the opportunity to attend classes no matter what their conditions may be. He was speaking Friday 20 th September 2019 during the Sector Conference and Launching of the 2019/2020 School year at the campus of GTHS Bamenda with the theme, The clean school philosophy Is the Motor to Successful Studies and a reinforced professional outlook . Mr. Ngwang Roland told the secondary education family that, Internally Displaced students  be given red carpet reception and that, if a child is not having the requirements needed for admission, that child should be admitted while the requirements like birth certificates, report cards and others are taking care of while the child is attending classes. Ndop: Mourners Demand Justice At Burial Of Murdered Three.

Reports from Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region of Cameroon say, angry mourners who turned out for the burial  of three members of the same family shoot and killed in Ndop last August have challenged North West Administration, to ensure that the victims get Justice. This was last Wednesday September 11, 2019 during the burial  of Emmanuella, who was pregnant at the time of her death, her sister and baby Abigail,a toddler, shot and killed last August 25 th  by those eye witnesses say were heavily armed men in military attires.
