UBa Student Suffering From Gun Shot Wound Finally Gets Medical Help

  By Raymond Dingana Forgambe Sony Neghop, a student of the Universitily of Bamenda, UBa has finally started receiving full medical attention five days after he was shot by unidentified gun men. The Level 300 Boilogy student of the Higher Teacher Training Collage, H.T.T.C was shot and wounded last Sunday May 16,2021 at the Down Quarter Neighbourhood in Bambili. Sony was finally operated on the leg that was hit by the bullet in a health facility in Bamenda on Friday May 21,2021. This was after the amount of money needed for the operation was raised thanks to assistance from UBa authorities. The event was chaired by North West Governor, Lele L'afrique Adolph, Thursday 20th May, 2021 at the governor's esplanade at up station in Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region. Young Jacques Achia, President of Young Sport Academy, YOSA and Abunde Pascal, President of PWD Social Football Club all in Bamenda were awarded the Sport Order of Merit for their efforts in promoting football in the region. Talking about some of his achievements in the world of football which to him may have earned him the medal, Abunde Pascal said: "we were able to take a team that was barely existing six years ago to the pinacle of football in the country. The mayor visited the Muslim community at the old town neighborhood in Bamenda Friday May 7,2021 with bags of rice, salt, cartoons of soap, vegetable oil among others. Armed Conflict In NW/SW: Biker Set Ablaze In Oshie

  By Rosaline Obah A commercial bike rider by name Ndibang Samuel has died after he was shot and set ablaze by men in uniform in Oshie village, Momo Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. His charred body was discovered Thursday May 6,2021 along side his commercial motor bike. It is not clear why he was caught, shot and set on fire. Unconfirmed reports indicate that, Ndibang was transporting suspected separatist fighters who had forced him to take them around the village. The suspected armed men immediately jumped in to the bushes when they came face to face with men in military uniform leaving him behind. "He didn't run perhaps because he knew he was only forced to do what he did and was hoping to explain to the soldiers," a native of Oshie told Drayinfos adding that, "he was rather caught, shot and burnt alongside his motor bike without given a chance to explain himself." In a video which we have not been able to independently confirm its veracity that has gone viral, the man is seen removing the items from the pillows expressing shock and disbelief. "I slept on the pillow but could not understand what was happening.i decided to open only to discover underwears, breast wears and other pieces of cloths which may been swept from a tailoring workshop. I just want you people to see what we buy so that we can be careful," the voice in the video indicated. Breast Wears, Pillow , Pieces Of Cloth Used In Producing Pillows. Worthy of not is the fact that, back market area in Bamenda is noted for smart traders who will not spare any opportunity to play a fast one on buyers.  Many have complained how the pay for items especially dresses but discovered something else when they got home.

Armed Conflict In NW/SW: Improvised Explosive Hits Police Van In Bali

Suspected Separatist fighters in Bali Nyonga have hit a police anti terrorist van at mile 84 on the Banenda- Bali highway.  The vehicle was hit by an improvised explosives device,IED planted by the fighters in the early hours of Tuesday April 27,2021. It is not clear if there were casualties or not. Those who used that stretch of the road Tuesday morning said ,they saw the damaged police vehicle after the incident. The use of IEDs is gradually gaining grounds in the ongoing armed conflict rocking the restive north west and south west regions of Cameroon. Many have raised concerns that, civilains who are non combattants may also b affected by these explosives as it has been the case on many occasions, reason why the strategy has always come under fire from the population. By Raymond Dingana A man is currently undergoing treatment in a health facility in Bamenda, the headquarters of Cameroon’s conflict-hit North West region following ‘deep’ knife wounds reported inflicted on him by soldiers dispatched to the region to maintain law and order.  The condemnable incident is said to have occurred Saturday 24 April 2021 at the Mile 90 neighborhood, a locality on the outskirts of Bamenda along the highway leading to Bali. Mile has been a separatist hotspots since ongoing Anglophone crisis morphed into a full-fledged armed conflict.   As indicated by a source who opted for anonymity, the gory scene unfolded when the victim was stopped on board a motorbike that was transporting him to Bamenda. Fostering youth football: New NW Regional Exco Urged To Collaborate With FECAFOOT

By Raymond Dingana Newly installed executive members of the Circle of The Actors and Promoters of Youth Football in the North West Region have been challenged to work hand in gloves with the regional bureau of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT in their drive to foster youth football in the region. The call was made by the National President of Youth Football League, Mr. Dabo Hamadou This was during a ceremony to commission the new executive into their functions at the FECAFOOT conference room Saturday April 24, 2021. He challenged the regional football actors and promoters with Mr. Yoye Blaise at the head to collaborate with FECAFOOT before channeling their problems to the national office. Dabo explained that the executive is out to defend the interest of youth football, assist leaders of the league, and ensure the evolution of young players among others.
