This was after a decision signed by the Director General of ELECAM, Essousse Erik dated 19 January 2023 replacing the killed ELECAM members of staff. Khaiy John Fai who was the Momo Divisional Delegate of ELECAM killed by an angry mob in the morning early Thursday January 19, 2023 was replaced same day by Madam Sirri Hilda Ade according the the decision signed by the Director General of ELECAM. The appointment is contained in presidential decree No. 2022/2023/ 027. He now occupies the position that had been vacant for about two years. Crime: Traditional Leader,Others Killed In Menchum

Chief Mathias Chi Eweh By Raymond Dingana Chief Mathias Chi Eweh,his son and four others have been killed by suspectedherdsmen in a farming community of Munkep,Fungom sub division, Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. The armed herdsmen said to have come in from Nigeria reportedly stormed the area and carried out the killings. Though it is not clear what provocked the killings, we garthered from sources that this is not that first time herdsmen belief to be coming from neighboring Nigeria are staging cross-border attacks in that area. Last year, many were killed when they protested that cattle belonging to herdsmen from Nigeria had encroached in to their farm lands and destroy their crops. President of the Republic of Cameroon- Paul Biya By Cham Victor Bama At the close of 2018, the sociopolitical atmosphere in the North West and South West regions was cataclysmic.  The level of violence and destruction had hit unprecedented heights with many fearing for the worst. But President Paul Biya, in his usual wisdom opted for a fresh approach to address the concerns of the people of the two English-speaking regions.    He made known his resolve when he addressed the nation at the end of 2018.  Thus, the country entered 2019 with a new government under the directive of the Head of State given firm instructions to take actions towards turning the tides around.   With this new Presidential resolve, came a change in government.  President Biya reshuffled the cabinet. He pumped in new blood, giving many a reason to hope for goodies in restoring normalcy in the North West and South West regions.  The big name entrusted with making real   government’s resolve to put order in the North
