This was during the visit to Bamenda of a four man Security Delegation from the Ministries of Defense and Security led by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense; Joseph Beti Assomo aimed at evaluating the security situation ahead of the Regional Election billed for 06 December and, end of year festivities among others:

“We have the problem of infrastructure, you have seen for yourself the poor state of the road between Matazem and Bamenda. You have toured the city and seen how our roads really look like and if it is the case at the main entrance, you can imagine the poor state states of the roads linking the other parts of the region, divisions and sub divisions,”he indicated.

He however said there is hope because the Ministry of Public Works has shared the work between Matazem and Bamenda and construction companies are already on site working.
