Bamenda II Mayor Presents Council's 2020-2024 Achievements To Population

Facing the Press, Tuesday April 2,2024 in Bamenda, Mayor Peter Chenwi through a PowerPoint presentation made known some of the goals the council has scored since he came in to office in March 2020. The expansion of the Bamenda II Council Equipment pool, providing a dump truck to take care of sanitation are some of the areas where Mayor Peter Chenwi said he was able to make his presence felt as municipal authority. Sky Limit International Fortifies Students Ahead Of End Of Course Exams

Haven seen the challenges students face before, and during end of course exams, the chief executive officer of a Non Governmental Organization, (NGO) known as Sky Limit International, Chumban Landry Forche thought it wise to fix the situation. Tuesday April 2, 2024, Sky Limit International distributed diadactics to vulnerable students of St Frederick Comprehensive High School Mankon  Bamenda in order that they don't face that challenge. Sunday March 17, 2023, heavily armed men abducted a lady, her driver, and one other person at the virgin land neighborhood in Foncha Street, Nkwen, Bamenda III Council area in broad day. The victims were taken to an unknown destination. It's not clear if they have been released or not. Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. By Raymond Dingana During celebrations marking the 39th International Women's Day in Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region, women put men especially traditionalists in an uncomfortable situation when they made requests that didn't sit well with them. The women used 8th march 2024 celebrations to petition for things many men didn't fine funny.  Speaking on behalf of women in Bamenda, the lady whose names we could not get indicated that they are highly depending on men to bring in more women in traditional stewardship. Women Representative "include women in traditional setup. There is no female quarter head in Bamenda I II,and III, talk less of sub chiefs." she said.
