Anglophone Crisis:CHRDA Launches Book Amplifying Unheard Voices Of Anglophone Crisis Victims

  By Raymond Dingana The unheard voices of the Anglophone War in Cameroon have been compiled in a book titled: In The Eye Of The Storm, Between The Devil And Deep Blue Sea. The book which has been described by many as 'Tear Provocking' was launched in Bamenda, Friday March 31,2023. Produced by the Center For Human Right and Democracy in Africa CHRDA,  Buea based Rights Organization that has been documenting cases of Human Rights violations in the context of the Anglophone armed conflict,the book aims to tell the story of sufferers of the crisis who have gone through all forms of inhumane treatments. The Executive Director of CHRDA, Dr.Fokum Violet while launching the book said it tells the story of victims of the Anglophone Crisis that have never been heard before,  The book echoes the voices of those whose stories have not been heard in the Anglophone Crisis.   Family Photo With CAWOPEM And Female Survivors In Kedjom Keku (Big Babanki) By Raymond Dingana  It was a huge smile that suddenly appeared on the faces of survivors of the recent separatists cruelty on women in Kedjom Keku (Big Babanki), when members of the Cameroon Women Peace Movement, CAWOPEM arrived the crisis hit village in the North West Region of Cameroon. The atmosphere in Kedjom Keku was not as it were before the recent happenings that saw a huge number of soldiers deployed to the village after the women were molested by armed men. Many have fled, explaining the scanty nature of the village. Members of CAWOPEM were there to provide Medical and Psychosocial Support to those they christened, Mothers of Big Babanki. At the village community hall in the Fon's Palace, they were exposed to talking therapy, giving them an opportunity to express how they felt during and after what they went through. My Journey On Foot To Bali And Back

By Raymond Dingana The reason for this journey was to have a first hand experience on how trekking on the 19km road from Bamenda to Bali looks like.  This is how many have been trekking for two weeks now following the ban on commercial bikes and vehicles by the North West Administration and Separatiat fighters respectively. When it first came to our notice that, people were covering the 19km road on foot, we thought it was fake news reason why we decided to go see things for ourselves. Our 19Km journey to Bali that started at about 8:30am, Tuesday August 3rd, 2021 began like a joke. The first one hour was cool making us feel like extending the trip to Batibo and beyond.  The fresh breeze from the hills of Naaka energized us as we embarked on the 19km journey. The use of improvised explosives is the order of the day. Armed men have recorded and dropped online, videos of them blowing off military vehicles followed by heavy gun shots. This explains why year year out, Non governmental organizations have not only been crusading for the rights to education to be respected by all, they have also be supporting learners with back to school needs. This was the case in Nsoh Bafut where Smile Educational Foundation (SEF) put smiles on the faces of learners and parents with school material.  English, Arithmetic and French textbooks, exercise books, school bags, pens, pencils, rulers, just to name but these were handed to over 100 school children, Saturday September 2,2023 in Nsoh Bafut.
