Pre Dialogue Brainstorming Meeting In Bamenda: Root Causes, Cease Fire, Amnesty, Form Of State Dominate Talks.

In order for the North West Region of Cameroon to better prepare for the upcoming dialogue, the governor of the North West Region last September 21, 2019 organized a pre dialogue brainstorming meeting that brought together participants from all walks of life at the MINEPAT hall Up Station, Bamenda. Many of those who answered present at the meeting suggested that, for the dialogue to bear any meaningful fruits, the root causes should be looked in to, all those arrested as a result of the crises be granted amnesty, a cease fire be declared, power alternation between Francophones and Anglophones, the form of the state be discussed, decentralization not a solution to the Anglophone crises, English and French be given equal status, independent judicial system among others should be given pride of place.
