FEHACU 2022: Fon Azehfor III Of Nkwen Settles On Peace As Pathway To Development

The traditional authority was speaking at the openning ceremony of the second edition of the Festival of  Heritage Arts and Culture (FEHACU), Wednesday December 2022. Let us all unite for peace and development in our communities. Let us denounce nepotism, discrimination, tribalism amongst others. As NWRA Votes 2023 Budget, Population Sets Own Priorities

NWRA President And Colloborators By Raymond Dingana The North West Regional Assembly(NWRA) has settled on the sum of 4 billion, 691 Million FCFA to carry out development projects in 2023. The budget was voted recently during the December session of the Assembly under the theme: Citizen Participation in a Bottom Up Approach In Sourcing Activitivies from the communities. Following the October 6,2022 Ministry of Finance [MINFI] and the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development [MUNDDEVEL] circular transferring competences and terms of reference, the Hon. President of the NWRA, Fru Angwafo III indicated that Housing and Town Planning, Transport, Leisure and Tourism will be areas of focus though others will not be ignored. NWRA,UNDP Donate To Persons With Disabilities,Others At Regional Cultural Fiesta

  By Raymond Dingana More than five hundred persons including those With Disabilities (PWDs) have benefited from the magnanimity of the North West Regional Assembly (NWRA) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme [UNDP] to accompany them during this festive period. This was Friday 23 December 2022 during a Cultural end of year Festival organised by the NWRA partnering with UNDP at the esplanade of the Senior Divisional Officer's Office. Esplanade Of Mezam SDO's Office Where The Cultural Event Took Place Rice, Cooking oil, Seasonal cubes,Salt,Washing soap amongst others were some of the items that the beneficiaries took home. Some Of The Donated Items One of the recipients, Buba Abubarkar Ismaila who has been on a wheel chair since 2016 following an accident appreciated the donors for thinking about them during this period. This was during the Regional End of Year Cultural Festival organised by the NorthWest Regional Assembly that  took  place at the esplanade of the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam. Appreciating the gesture by Golbert Gwain AKA The Colbert Factor, Mboushi Sydonie, a journalist with Sky Sports Community Radio said,  “I appreciate the gesture because is not every day that journalists commune together. Indeed am ending the year well with Mr Kwain Colbert and I am happy.” It should be noted that Colbert Gwain is also a Digital Rights Activist who has been fighting tooth and nail to see in to it that the Digital Rights of the population is respected.  He is of those who has and is still championing good journalism in the North West Media Landscape.

NW Governor Apeals For Peace As MIDENO Strategizes To Combat Food Insecurity

Members Of Board of Directors At MIDENO By Raymond Dingana North West Governor,Adolphe Lele Lafrique Tchoffo Deben has appealed for a return to normalcy in order to pave the way for the North West Development Authority also known as MIDENO to win the battle against Food Insecurity.  He was speaking shortly after the 54th Board of Directors meeting at MIDENO,Wednesday December 21,2022 in Bamenda chaired by the Board's Chairperson, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique. The project to silence hunger is a World Bank Project worth 7 billion FCFA with MIDENO to serve as an Executive Agency for the project that will run for 36 months beggining 2023. This was on day one of the 9th Session of the Assembly that started last Tuesday December 12,2022 in Bamenda and ended on Thurday 15 December with the theme: Citizen Participation in a bottom approach sourcing activities from the community. As explained by the Honarable president of the NWRA, the year ending was successful in the award and execution of contracts. Our budget execution rate stood at 78.54% for investment and 80.01% for functioning, giving a global percentage of 79.14%, he pointed out.
