Pope’s Emisary Brings Message Of Reconciliation To Cameroon

He said, everyone is responsible for peace. He added that, arms be laid so that, peace and reconciliation may reign in the land. Child Attempts Suicide

A primary school pupil has cheated death in Yaounde,Friday January 29,2021. The seven-year-old was rescued by her teacher after she was found hanging on a robe,a source in Yaounde told DrayInfos. The Young Girl Being Rescued By School Authorities. The incident happened at a school campus in Certe Verte in Yaounde. It is still not clear whether whether she was the one that attempted taking her own life. Sources familiar to the incident suspect something fishy She is responding to treatments in a hospital in Yaounde.

Cooking Gas Filling Center Soon In Bamenda

By Raymond Dingana Bamenda and the North West Region as a whole will soon get a cooking gas filling station worth about five billion FCFA. The project will cover a surface area of ten hectares of land.  The announcement was made in Bamenda by the General Manager of the Hydro-Carbon Stabilization Fund, Thursday 28th January at the Bamenda City Council during a meeting with the Mayor Paul Achobong and other members of the north west administration. ''Our board meeting that sat 30th of December 2020 validated this project for Bamenda. I want to say say this is a project worth at least four to five billion francs. It will need a surface area of at least six to ten hectares of land. This year is for feasibility studies and the construction will be in the 2022 budget. Its a very delicate project that takes a lot of studies. The cost to run down to Bafoussam to get cooking gas and the price will be advantageous.'' He was speaking to the media during a press conference in Bamenda, Thursday January 28th. Bamenda II: Quater Heads Report Underdevelopment To Council

This was during a come together between the Bamenda II Council and Quarter Heads from the municipality to strategize on how to develop to area,Wednesday.  As indicated by Mr.Fon William, representing the quater heads of Mbatu,they have a dame,construction material but no water and roads. "We have a dame in Mbatu, but we don't have portable water. By Raymond Dingana  The population of Bamenda in the North West Region of Cameroon have expressed the wish to see the bottom-top appraoch of operating by the Regional Council. They were speaking to DrayInfos after the installation of the pioneer executive of the regional council, Saturday January 23. They say, the region is facing a number of challenges that need the undivided attention of the council.  Genuine dialogue to pave the way for sustainable peace, road infrastructure, water and energy among others are some of the areas they pointed out. GBV: Suspected Separatist Fighters Strip Women Naked

By Raymond Dingana A video has image online showing women being tortured and molested by armed men suspcted to be fighters fighting to create a state of their own which they called Ambazonia. According to the voices in the video,whose authenticity and the location it was shot have not been indipendently confirmed by drayinfos, the women were accused of dating security officials. The women are seen siting naked and being interogated by the boys. One of the boys is heard in the video asking for pepper to use on the women's private part. It is not clear what may have  happened to the women after the video. The video has received wide spread condemnation from far and wide. Some are asking if those treating them in that manner have mothers or were actually brought to this world by women. Men In Military Fatigues Kill Four In Bamenda

The boys were killed by those eye witnesses say were men dressed in military fatigues similar to that of the Cameroon army Saturday January 23,2021. Bamenda and Mbengwi  are the latest to have been hit by  Improvised Explosive Device, Tuesday January 19,2021, a day after the Minister of Territorial Administration said, President Paul Biya has won the war against Separatist fighters. In the town of Bamenda, a lady who deals in animal feed and her daughter were wounded when a locally made explosive went off around T-junction Tuesday afternoon. The debris from the exlosive had trappings that, the Cameroon military has linked to separatist's activities in the past. Both were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Properties including those that belonged to the wounded lady were destroyed when the device went off. Atanga Nji Says Calls For Separatists To Drop Weapons Bearing Fruits

 By Raymond Dingana The minister of Territorial Administration has saluted the fruitfulness of what he describes as  President Paul Biya's call for separatist fighters to drop their weapons and abandon the bushes. He pointed out that,many separatist fighters have continued to lay down their weapons and are having a new life at the Centre for Disarmament,Dimobilization and Reintegration-DDR. He also indicated that, five separatist fighters handed their weapons to a village head at about 10:30pm on monday. The identity and  name of the village were never disclosed.  " The fighters handed their weapons to their fon at about 10:30 Pm on the night of Monday after the security meeting we had. The training was done recently under the patronage of the publisher, Kristian Ngah in the context of the ongoing armed conflict rocking the two English speaking regions of Cameroon hosting the majority of its readers. Sources say,she and her fiance' were traveling to Douala to shop for their upcoming wedding that was supposed to take place on the 15 and16 of January. Insecurity: Youths Continue To Perish As Politicians Kick Against Genuine Dialogue
