CAMASEJ Unites With LOYOC To Achieve Sustainable Growth In Cameroon

  Achaleke Christian Leke, And Jude Viban During the Signing of the MoU By Raymond Dingana In a bid to contribute her own little quarter to  sustainable development, and peace in Cameroon, the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists CAMASEJ signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with Local Youth Corner, LOYOC, a non governmental organization NGO. The MoU signed January 29 in Cameroon's capital Yaounde will last for four years with the possibility of renewal. Part of a joint statement from the two peace and development oriented entities reads: "The agreement, which is non-binding at law, affirms the intention of CAMASEJ and LOYOC to collaborate locally with a focus on achieving sustainable development in Cameroon, and will last for four years with the possibility of renewal." CAMASEJ and LOYOC indicated in the press statement that they shall jointly work towards gaining peace and prosperity in Cameroon through collaborative project design and implementation

The center is dedicated to fostering the overall health and well-being of adolescent (10 and 19 years), and young adults (20+24 years) in the North West Region. Dr. Nsame was speaking Saturday January 27 as he launched the center that has come to curb adolescent health issues like stress, mental health concerns, nutrition deficiencies, violence, injury, sexual and reproductive health issues not leaving out substance abuse.   Workshop Resource Persons, And Participants In Family Photo By Raymond Dingana Members of the Bamenda chapter of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ-B) have joined forces with the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services CBCHS, and Humanity at Heart International H@H to eliminate Cervical Cancer amidst frightening statistics. Cervical Cancer is ranked fourth most common form of  cancer and fourth leading cause of death amongst women in the world. It is caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexual transmissible infection, and two types exist, the Low and High Risk types. The high risk type is the one that causes several types of cancer including cervical cancer. In Cameroon, it is ranked second and most common and leading cause of female cancer deaths in the country with 1,878 deaths of the 2,770 diagnosed cases in 2020. However, the good news is that cervical cancer is treatable if captured early enough, advocates for it's elimination

The robbery incident took place in the evening hours of Friday 8 December 2023 at the Mkwase Quarter in Nkwen, Bamenda III Sub Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.
