The North West Chapter President of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union, CJTU has appealed to State and Non-State actors in the armed conflict rocking the NW/SW Regions of Cameroon to accept the Press Vest recently handed over to Journalists who are members of CJTU as identification for Media Organs. Bakah Derick was speaking Sunday November 03, 2019 during the distribution ceremony of Press Vests to members of CJTU at Hill Top Hotel, Up Station-Bamenda. In addition, Bakah Derick underscored the need for State and Non-State Actors to respect all those who wear the Vests as Journalists with reputation whom are only out to do their job. By Raymond Dingana . Three suspected Ambazonia fighters from Babessi have been killed in Bangolan in Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region of Cameroon, Saturday November 02, 2019. Though the circumstances surrounding their deaths still remain unclear, eye witness accounts are indicating that, the three were killed when they were on one of their routine controls at the Bangolan market that was met with stiff resistance from those in Bangolan. The resistance later degenerate into a serious clash between the two camps leading to the death of three of those from Babessi while two others sustained life threatening wounds. Latest information from the Bafoussam landslide is indicating that, more bodies have been pulled out of  debris of the landslide that occurred on the night of Monday breaking Tuesday  October 29, 2019 at about 10PM. Sources on the ground are indicating that, closed to ten more bodies have been retrieved putting the death toll at 42 from 37 as earlier reported.Ten women including four pregnant women, eleven boys, and fifteen girls between the ages of six and fifteen were among the victims of the landslide when nature turned its ugly face on the inhabitants of Ngouachie, in Bafoussam III, West Region of Cameroon on the night of Monday breaking Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Reports from the Ngouachie , a neighborhood in Bafoussam III Sub Division, West Region of Cameroon say, closed to Thirty Seven corpses have been retrieved from the  landslide that occurred Monday October 28 th , 2019 at about 10PM. Reports also indicate that, the landslide occurred following heavy down pour over the week end. It is also reported that, eleven houses were buried in the landslide which is also said to have buried closed to fifty persons. Latest reports say, the Thirty Seven corpses retrieved by a local rescue team in the area have been deposited at the mortuary. Efforts are still on the way to retrieve more bodies. By Raymond Dingana. The Director of the CBC Health Services, Professor Tih Pius Muffih has prescribed a Concerted Effort to free the NWR of Cameroon from HIV. He was speaking at the launching ceremony of the HIV- free COP 2019 Project to target 30000 new cases of HIV infected persons in the NWR and placed them under treatment . “ For the NWR to be free from HIV, we need a concerted effort. Every health care provider should work in a concerted way with the region. It is one project for the region and everybody that is involved in health care should be a part of the project so that we can bring the epidemic under control.
