As to why she decided to celebrate her birthday with the ex combatants, Golden Pillars as she wished that they should be called, she said,

I discovered that there is nothing more important than given. The bible says for God so love that he gave. You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. Is is my tradition, evey year i give out on my birthday. I have done it in orphanages and prisons but this year i decided to come to the DDR center.
Victory Marshal added that she would have chosen to drink with friends but that innate value would have been absent.
