SGBV: Angry Mob Beats Man For Raping Pregnant Woman In Bamenda

A man has been administered mob justice for raping a woman who is due delivery at Ntahseng, Nkwen Bamenda recently.

The woman was nine months pregnant when the act was perpetrated on her by the man whose wife is also pregnant.

As seen on a video that has gone viral, the man with blood on his face could be heard shouting and saying in the pidgin language,
All we na one, make we discussam make all thing finish, a be sorry, if na for take ye go hospital, I go take ye go hospital,
loosely translated as,
we are one, let us dialogue and solve the problem, if it's to take her to the hospital, I will do that.
We have been reliably informed that after the man was given the beatings of his life, he is yet to appear before law inforcement officers.

It should borne in mind that Article 296 of the Penal Code imposes a prison sentence of 5 to 10 years for any man who uses physical or moral constraints to engage in sexual relations with a woman regardless of her age.

This is terrible. To think he still has the audacity to open his fangs and say make go carry the woman to hospital. Did he think of the trauma the woman will go through. What a terrible world we leave it. Justice should be served.
If this man goes free I would really mourn for my country ehh 🥺🥺

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man.
