During the recent distribution of Humanitarian Aids to Internally Displaced Persons at the esplanade of the NW governor’s office  by the Bamenda Regional Center for Humanitarian Assistance, many IDPs called on government to ensure that, peace returns saying food is not really what they need but Peace. Though they appreciated and thanked government for trying to see in to it that, they live a normal life, they called on government to embrace the path to peace so that, they can return to their communities and that food is not really what they are in need of. The launching ceremony took place Sunday September 29 th , 2019 at the Saint John Bosco Youth Center, Big Mankon Cathedral. By Raymond Dingana.  Reports from Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon say, close to nine fuel tankers escorted by armed to the teeth soldiers have made their entry in to Bamenda in the evening hours of Tuesday September 21. This is coming barely days after two fuel tankers were set afire in Akum, a small village in Santa sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon by those eye witnesses say were armed men in civilian attires, Saturday September 21 st , 2019. The incident was greatly condemned by this driver of a travel agency in Bamenda .Hear him : “ I think such a move was uncalled for given that, there was no restrictions on movement in and out of the region. In order for the North West Region of Cameroon to better prepare for the upcoming dialogue, the governor of the North West Region last September 21, 2019 organized a pre dialogue brainstorming meeting that brought together participants from all walks of life at the MINEPAT hall Up Station, Bamenda. Many of those who answered present at the meeting suggested that, for the dialogue to bear any meaningful fruits, the root causes should be looked in to, all those arrested as a result of the crises be granted amnesty, a cease fire be declared, power alternation between Francophones and Anglophones, the form of the state be discussed, decentralization not a solution to the Anglophone crises, English and French be given equal status, independent judicial system among others should be given pride of place. The North West Regional Delegate for Secondary Education, Mr. Ngwang Roland Yuven has reiterated the need for secondary school authorities in the region to insure that, Internally Displaced students are given the opportunity to attend classes no matter what their conditions may be. Reports from Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region of Cameroon say, angry mourners who turned out for the burial  of three members of the same family shoot and killed in Ndop last August have challenged North West Administration, to ensure that the victims get Justice. This was last Wednesday September 11, 2019 during the burial  of Emmanuella, who was pregnant at the time of her death, her sister and baby Abigail,a toddler, shot and killed last August 25 th  by those eye witnesses say were heavily armed men in military attires. The Social Democratic Front Party, the SDF has underscored the need for a neutral party to chair the upcoming dialogue announced by President Paul Biya of Cameroon last Tuesday September 10, 2019. In a Press Release dated 12 September 2019 signed by Joshua Osih, F irst National Vice President of the SDF, the party says : “Such a National Inclusive Dialogue should be chaired by a neutral personality”. In his address to Cameroonians last Tuesday, President Paul Biya of Cameroon said, Chief Joseph Dion Ngute will be chairing the dialogue, a decision that is already proving to be unpopular. The 2019/2020 academic year in the North West Region has taken off amidst heavy gun battles between Cameroon’s security forces and Pro Independence fighters, Monday September 02, 2019. Coupled   with the ghost town and lock down operations called for by separatist leaders abroad and enforced by armed men on the ground, parts of Mezam, Bui, Ndonga Mantung, Nkoketunjia, Menchum and Boyo Divisions got up to thunderous gun shots that forced many to stay indoors. The Cameroon Army in the North West Region of Cameroon has come to the aid of  families of fallen colleagues who have died on the battle fronts defending the colors of the Country. This was in an event to hand over didactic materials to the children of falling soldiers that took place at the head quarters of the 5 th military Region at Up Station Bamenda, Friday August 30 th , 2019 chaired by the Secretary General at the NW governor’s office, Mr.Lanyuy Harry Ngwani. The children received School Bags, Books, Pens and other items needed to help them go back for school for the Academic year 2019/2020.
