  By Anne-Vallien Berinyuy  The Menka Green Valley Cooperative Credit Union (MGVCCUL) held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Ntamulung Multi-Purpose Hall. During the AGM, MGVCCUL shared its success despite challenges from the socio-political crisis in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. The credit union has continued to grow stronger. Membership increased from 3,450 in 2024 to 4,553 in 2025, representing a net gain of 1,103 members as of February 7, 2026. Member savings also grew by 13.3%. Cross Section of MGVCCUL Members Dr. Bar.   Akumbom Elvis Being Treated After Attack By Raymond Dingana  Journalist Akumbom Elvis McCarthy, a paralegal, was attacked by bodyguards of a sub-chief in Meforbe Quarter, Santa Sub-Division, Mezam Division, North West Region, Cameroon. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 15th 2025, at a funeral ceremony for McCarthy's brother's father-in-law, Pa Forsuh.
