Dr. Bar. Awah Fidelis Penn, the President of the Board of Directors, noted that MGVCCUL has met all 14 regulatory standards set by COBAC for the past three years, indicating good business practices. This year alone, the union added over 1,200 members, showing that more people are choosing to join MGVCCUL.
"We offer basic accounts, engage in agricultural business, provide low-interest loans, and pay high interest on savings, which continues to attract new members,"
Penn stated. He encouraged everyone to join MGVCCUL to work together for mutual success.
MGVCCUL understands that agriculture is crucial for the economy and is committed to supporting farmers.
“Our valley is very green, representing our strong agricultural roots. Many green spices come from Menka and are sent to other parts of Cameroon and beyond. We provide loans to farmers, operate our farms, and are forming partnerships with various companies to supply products directly to our members, who only pay after using them on their farms, harvesting, and selling their produce.”
For 2026, the President announced plans for increased investment in agriculture and efforts to attract more members to the union. Members were encouraged to continue trusting MGVCCUL and to be good ambassadors for the credit union.
