FEHACU 2021:My Time In The Power House Of The Bamenda III Cultural Jamboree

  By Raymond Dingana The maiden edition of the Festival Heritage of Arts and Cultures (FEHACU) is curruently on in Nkwen, Bamenda III Municipality, North West Region of Cameroon. The Festival jamboree which started on Friday November 26,2021 is being organized by the Bamenda III Council with Fongu Cletus Tanwie at the helm. If there is one thing that has caught my attention so far on day one this maiden edition of (FEHACU), it is the power house that takes care of gastronomy. FEHACU Power House Were Traditional Dishes Are Served When i alighted from the cab at Center Bolt in Nkwen and started heading towards the Nkwen Fon's Palace, saliva started gathering in my mouth caused by the aroma emanating from the the FEHACU power house. Ngar-Buh Inquiry Report: Wimbum Community Demands Befitting Lives, Not Befitting Burials.

By Raymond Dingana The Wimbum community in Bamenda has challenged the government of Cameroon to give them befitting lives and not wait for them to die to be accorded befitting burials. Reacting to the portion of the inquiry report by the commission of inquiry to investigate what many now called the Ngar-Buh Massacre of Feb, 2020, many a Wimbum indigene asked the question as to whether the victims of the massacre have ever had a befitting life, asking why the corpses should be exhumed in the name of according them befitting burials. As indicated by Nfor, an indigene of Ndu in Ndonga Mantung Division of the North West Region of Cameroon, befitting burials is a misplaced priority : “ The people of Ngar-Buh and other areas in Ndonga Mantung Division need a befitting life and not a befitting burial. The situation is so bad that many can't afford a three square meal per day, not to talk of adequate medical care, among others. By Raymond Dingana During celebrations marking the 39th International Women's Day in Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region, women put men especially traditionalists in an uncomfortable situation when they made requests that didn't sit well with them. The women used 8th march 2024 celebrations to petition for things many men didn't fine funny.  Speaking on behalf of women in Bamenda, the lady whose names we could not get indicated that they are highly depending on men to bring in more women in traditional stewardship.
