CAMACA Award:Bakah Says He Feels Like Fru Ndi After Losing

By Raymond Dingana

Bakah Derick seen by many as one of the best Masters of Ceremonies in Bamenda nominated for the award of Best Event Host says he feels like the chairman of the Social Democratic front Ni John Fru Ndi after losing a vote.

Talking to www.drayinfos.com, Bakah said, when nomimated for an award like that organised by Camraise Accademic Award,CAMACA and you don't win, its a very painful experience,

"It's painful, i feel like Ni John Fru Ndi after losing an election. However it gives us time to look back and reflect on where we went wrong so we know where to make amends and also appreciate those who won. It was one award for three of us and all of us could not have won in the same category," Bakah said.

He further explained that he doesn't do show biz which he said could have put him on the position he finds himself in. He said he is more in to standard ceremonies like administrative events among others,

"I'm sure it is because my price is a little higher reason why you don't find me almost everywhere. I want to insist I feel like Ni John Fru Ndi who loses an election. I don't wish to ever have that kind of an experience again, I really wish to have my own award," Bakah indicated.
"If you are to have me for an event, make sure you pay well," Bakah said adding that, "I spend several nights to prepare on how I am going to look, the things I am going to say, my choice of words, my language and you name them. It's not just about running in to a hall, take a microphone and start shouting. I receive 50k from my friends and not less than a hundred thousand francs from others," he pointed out.

He also apologized to his fans for failing them and promised to step up his game for their sake.

According to Kouamo Arnuaud who is the promoter of CAMACA, two candidates could not win a particular category. He also encouraged those who did not make it,

"Nomination is already a big win, keep doing your work and tomorrow may be your day.CAMACA has come to stay. The gospel artist who won was nominated last year but didnt win. Let them continue working hard and one day lick will smile on them," Kouamo said.
The Camraise Accedemic Award was launched in 2019 and many have been recognized and awarded for excelling in their areas of specialities.
