53rd Unity Day Celebrations: Tubah DO's Crusade For Return To Normalcy Earns Him An Award

  Tubah DO At The Ceremonial Ground By Raymond Dingana Many years ago, celebrating national day activities in Tubah Subdivision, North West Region of Cameroon, was far-fetched due to the ongoing insecurity caused by the Anglophone Crisis. However, a turning point came with the appointment of Massango Metougue Narcisse as Divisional Officer (DO) for Tubah. Since his appointment, National Day celebrations, including Youth Day celebrated every 11th February, and Unity Day celebrated every 20th of May, have been successfully held in Tubah, despite security challenges. This achievement is largely attributed to the tireless efforts of Massango Metougue Narcisse and his collaborators. PM Dion Ngute In Abidjan By Raymond Dingana  Cameroon's Prime Minister, and head of government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute has used the Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan to seduce foriegn investors to consider investing in Cameroon. While in Ivory Coast, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion together with his peers from Ivory Coast, Tanzania and Guinea Conakry have reviewed the need to advance a win-win State-private sector partnerships. This, they said, is needed to jump start Africa’ development. During a high level panel discussion, the different Prime Ministers pointed out in clear terms the need the Governments to engage more profoundly with the private sector given that no economy can flourish without an solid private sector. CMA President, Okie Johnson Recognized For Contributing To Buea Diocese Growth

Archbishop Jose Avelino Bettencourt, the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, presented the award to Okie on May 7, 2025, following a special Mass that concluded the Diocese's 75th anniversary celebrations.  The announcement was met with loud applause from the congregation at the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral.
