Six persons have been wounded in a convoy that was heading to Mbengwi, Head Quarters of Momo Division in the NWR of Cameroon following an attack by suspected Pro independence fighters, Saturday February 01, 2020. Report from sources on the ground indicate that, the first attacked was at Nchualam while the second took place around Ngyen-Mbo. The convoy was that of the Minister Delegate In charge of the Supreme State Audit, Mbah Acha Rose heading to the Momo Divisional Head Quarter –Mbengwi to launch CPDM campaigns ahead of the February 9 elections. Sources in the convoy recounted to the DrayInfos that, one person was shot on the arm, another on the head, and another on the leg. Reports from Wum say, the women went out in their numbers recently to confront the armed Fulani and Hausa youths whom they say are backed by the Cameroon military. By Raymond Dingana. The North West Regional Tax Controller has announced that, Mobile Fiscal Stamps have been permanently abolished thereby giving priority to Franking stamps. He made the announcement recently at the Conference Room of MINEPAT at Up Station Bamenda during the launching ceremony of the Public Investment Budget for the NWR. He added that, 56 Franking Machines arrived the region recently to fill the gap created by the absence of the Mobile Fiscal Stamps. He furthered that, in areas where electricity is a problem, solar energy will take care of the situation. Though electricity is said to be a handicap to the whole process, the NW Regional Tax Controller says, the greatest problem faced now is the insecurity that reigns in the region as a result of the socio-political crisis that is greatly affecting day to day life in the NWR. Reports from Guneku Village, Mbengwi Sub Division of the North West Region of Cameroon say, armed men dressed in military fatigue have attacked the village square looting shops as the population fleet in to the bushes, Saturday December 28, 2019. According to eye witness account, they came in armored cars armed to the teeth and ready for combat.  The incursion in to Guneku actually disrupted the Tad Market said to be the last for the year 2019 as many traders and buyers were forced to make a U -Turn back to where they were coming from.
