“No Peace, No Development” -SIMON EMILE MOOH, Mezam SDO.

By Raymond Dingana.

The Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh has underscored the need the Peace to return to the NWR of Cameroon so that, development can flourish, something he said can be achieved by sensitizing those in the bushes to drop their guns.  He was speaking Friday December 27, 2019 at the esplanade of the NW Governor’s office during the distribution of Humanitarian Aid to hundreds of Internally Displaced Persons by the Regional Emergency Center for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance plan.
They should continue sensitizing those our  brothers and sisters who are still in the bushes to come out and celebrate the peace after the promulgation of the new law on Decentralization and the special status for the NW/SW regions of Cameroon. They should come out and celebrate peace and reconciliation so that development can be achieved. Simon Emile Mooh said.

Though the beneficiaries were thankful for haven received what they were able to received, the equally frowned at the fact that, they were no mattresses, a cry that seem that have be fallen on deaf ears given that , thousands have not been able to lay hands on mattresses despite the fact that, the cries have been persistent.
According to the Coordinator of the Regional Emergency Humanitarian Assistant Plan, Mr. Tchofon Mingo, they have placed an order for the mattresses to be sent and that the ones that are they are not enough: The mattresses we have in the ware house are not enough. We don’t want a situation where by, we start distributing and stop at a certain point. So we have placed an order for more, when they will be available, we will continue with the distribution of mattresses. We don’t want to allow people waiting because there are no mattresses; we give them what is available while waiting for more to come.  When mattresses come, we will distribute them.

Mr. Chofon Mingo,Coordinator of the Regional Emergency Humanitarian Assistant Plan.

It should recalled that, many IDPs have always expressed the wish for the war to come to an end so that they can go back to their communities and continue with their lives. To many of them, Peace is better than the rice, vegetable oil, tablets are soap and all what they have been receiving from the government, and that, government should end the war by doing the right thing.
