Bamenda Station Road Needs Stringent Safety Measures After Tree Saves 70+ Lives

The Accident Scene At Up Station By Raymond Dingana Passengers of a 70 seater bus that left Bamenda on the evening of Thursday, April 24, 2025, will forever be grateful to a tree that saved their lives along Station Road. The bus, operated by a Bamenda based transport agency, was prevented from plunging off the steep hill thanks to a one of the eucalyptus tree planted beside the road. As the vehicle ascended Station Hill, it suffered a breakdown and began to roll backward. Miraculously, one of the trees along that stretch stopped the bus from tumbling down the cliff. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.
