On Friday, November 14th, while the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon,His Grace, José Avelino Bettencourt, was in Bamenda to rededicate the Bamenda Metropolitan Cathedral, armed men attacked a mosque in Sabga, a community in Tubah. They opened fire randomly, resulting in the deaths of three worshipers, with nine others receiving treatment in Bamenda. The community condemned this act, comparing it to drinking poison and expecting one’s enemies to suffer. "You can't be killing your own and expect your enemy to feel the pain," said Yaya Buba, a Muslim faithful in Bamenda.
