Separatist 'General' Killed In Mbengwi

  By Raymond Dingana One of the armed leaders of the separatist movement in Mbengwi has been shot and killed by the Cameroon military. 'General Dada' as he was commonly called socumed to the barrel of the gun in Guneku village at about 4:am breaking Friday April 16,2021. He ran to a house when he was shot but was pulled out and shot again, an eye witness told drayinfos.  "Many in Guneku have celebrated his demise including some of his fellow fighters who have always clashed with him on the kind of treatments he meted on the civilian population ," Forje Mac, a native of Mbengwi said. Humanitarian Response: SHUMAS Assists Schools In Bamenda

  By Raymond Dingana The Strategic Humanitarian Services-SHUMAS Cameroon has extended a hand of fellowship to three Catholic schools in Bamenda. The covid -19 Pandemic that has dealt a heavy blow to schools, the lack of Science Laboratories in some secondary schools  among others pushed the director of SHUMAS, Mr. Ndzerem Stephen to embark on a humanitarian journey to assist the schools.   At the ,St.John  Catholic School  at Foncha street,fifty benches were handed over to the school. As stated by the mananger of the school,Rev. Fr.Afumbom Gabriel,the coming of the Corona virus Pandemic and the respect of physical distance was a great problem to the school. "The kids were crowded in the few class rooms that had benches because the others were void of benches.This was hard on is because physical distance, a barrier measure agant covid-19 was not being respected.We turned to SHUMAS and in less than no time,fifty benches were provided. Insecurity: Hotel Manager,One Other Abducted

The Manager of a renowned hotel and one other person have been kidnapped by armed men at the new road neighborhood in Bamenda.They were taken away at gun point at about 7:30pm Friday April 16,2021 from the hotel premises. The recent kidnap came at a time when the proprietor of Jet Set and Bonapriso snack bars is still in captivity after he was taken away on Tuesday April 13,2021. Bamenda has of late been witnessing a surge in kidnappings for ransom. One of the officials of the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration, DDR Center in Bamenda kidnapped more than a week ago is still with his captors. Many have blamed the recent hyke in the level of insecurity to the ongoing Anglophone crisis. To them, if nothing is done to end the war, such incidents and more dangerous ones will be the order of the day in the nearest future.

Death Hits Bamenda III Council Again

Councilor Tabufor George Ambe collapsed during the Council's Management and Administrative Account session and was rush to a health facility where he was pronounced dead, Friday April 16,2021. His death came about a week after councilor Funwie Clement who died recently was laid to rest.

Crime: Man Chops Off Nephew's Fingers

This man whose names we got as Bernard commited the act recently after accusing 16-year-old Funwie,of haven stollen his money. Frinwie was taken to a health facicility for medical attention but since then, nothing has been done to purnish the culprit, a councillor of the Social Democratic Party told Drayinfos. DDR National Coordinator Explains Why Inmates Have Not Been Reintergrated

NW Farmers Saluted For Feeding Population Despite Odds

Fighting Covid -19: NW Governor Prescribes Stringent Measures

 By Raymond Dingana North West governor, Adolph Lele L'Afrique Tchoffo Deben has prescribed heavy sanctions against those that are not observing anti covid-19 barrier measures.  This was during a tour of some public places in Bamenda, Wednesday march 24,2021. The aim of the exercise was to remind the population of the need to respect the barrier measures put in place by the government to help arrest the spread of the virus. "After sensitising the population, we are now going to move a steep forward. I have instructed all the  members of the covid-19 task forces to start sanctioning those not observing the barrier measures put in place to hault the spread of the virus.
