Many areas now feel empty because traditional authorities are not present, causing villagers to move away to escape the crisis. Reports often focus on gun battles, deaths, and human rights violations. The aim of these visits is to secure development visit for the Bamenda II Municipality.  Through his visits, discussions and cooperation in Canada, Mayor Peter Chenwi is optimistic about securing funding for the financing of a Waste Management Plant project within Bamenda II Municipality. The facility will be responsible for treating and transformation of both organic and inorganic waste into useful by-products like electricity, fuels and fertilizer, amongst other key products that will benefit the population of Bamenda II Municipality and Cameroon in general. Victim Of Attack In Hospital   By Raymond Dingana Living in Bamenda demands extraordinary courage. If it's not the sorry state of roads that appears to be more of death traps filled with dust during the dry season and thick mud when it rains, then it is the alarming reports of gunmen attacking leisure spots and shooting people.  Breaking Monday morning, heavy gunfire was heard around Mile 2 Nkwen at about 3 AM. It was later revealed that gunmen had attacked a popular drinking spot around New Road junction in the Bamenda III municipality. Reports from multiple sources indicate that two people were killed, while others sustained bullet wounds and are currently receiving treatment in a health facility in Bamenda. Later that same day, at least four bodies were discovered near the Ntahseng bridge in Nkwen, one of which was a lady. These bodies were found shortly after gunshots were reported in the area.
