Bamenda: Government Delegate On Bended Knee Begging For Peace To Return.

The Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council, Vincent Ndumu Nji has used the installation ceremony of the new SDO for Mezam, Mr. Mooh Emile Simon, to plead for peace to return to the two Anglophone Regions of Cameroon. Vincent Ndumu Nji went down on his knees at the Bamenda Commercial Avenue Grand Stand, Tuesday October 22, 2019 calling on the population to return to the life they were living three years ago before the crisis showed its ugly face in 2016. Read Him: “ In the North West, many were mining sand and doing petit businesses , tilling the soil among others just to feed their families. Today, going to Bambui, Ndop, Fundong, Nkambe, Wum and many others is not an easy task. I am begging you people, let us invite God in to our hearts and forget about this crisis . CHRAPA Inaugurates Para-Legal Center In Nkwen To Monitor Human Rights Violations.

The Center for Human Right and Peace Advocacy  –CHRAPA has inaugurated a Para-Legal Center and handed over to the population of Mbelem, a locality in mile six Nkwen, Bamenda III Sub Division of the NWR of Cameroon. During the inauguration and handing over ceremony, Sunday October 20 th , 2019 at Mbelem, mile six Nkwen, the coordinator of CHRAPA, Mr. Tata Nelson called on the population to make judicious use of the Para-Legal center put at their disposal by CHRAPA to take care of human right issues among others. He also told the inhabitants of Mbelem that, though the Para-Legal center is based in Nkwen, it doesn’t mean others from different areas cannot benefit from the services the center will be offering. Mr. Tata Wilson also encouraged the beneficiaries to report all cases of Gender Based Violence including Rape, Battery, Child Abused, and many others to the center saying they should not to be afraid to do so because no one will ever know they did.

Promote Peace, Access To Justice, Social Cohesion-CHRAPA Tells Traditional Authorities

Some traditional authorities drown from communities across the North West Region of Cameroon have gained skills on how to promote Peace, access to justice, social cohesion, public participation and leadership. This was in a two day training program for traditional authorities organized by the Center for Human Right and Peace Advocacy, CHRAPA. During the training program that ran from the 18 th to the 19 th day of October 2019 at the conference room of Mondial Hotel in Bamenda, Traditional Authorities were trained on how to Promote Peace, Social Cohesion, Access to Justice and Public Participation and Leadership. Humanitarian Assistance: “They Gave Us Blankets Without Mattresses To Sleep On” – IDPs

Some Internally Displaced Persons in Bamenda have lashed out at those in charge of the distribution of Humanitarian Aid to IDPs for giving them Blankets without Mattresses to sleep on. During the distribution exercise, the first after the Major National Dialogue in an event that took place at the esplanade of the NW Governor’s office, Friday October 11, 2019, the IDPs asked the question as to whether they should continue sleeping on bare floor and cover the blankets. Even when the Governor of the NWR, Adolph Lele L’afrique was addressing the closed to four hundred beneficiaries, they could be heard shouting saying they need mattresses. “ We are six of us in the house and I am a patient. The governor of the North West Region of Cameroon, Adolph LeLe L’afrique has called on private investors to invest in the Arts and Culture sector in order to harness the cultural potential of the region, an amazing tool for the development of communities, the region and the country as a whole. Adolph LeLe L’afrique was speaking Tuesday October 8, 2019 during the opening ceremony of the 2019 re-launch of the Artistic and Cultural Season at Up Station Bamenda where he also said, culture is a unifying factor. After Attending Major National Dialogue, Diaspora Delegate Is Arrested.

By Raymond Dingana. One of those who flew to Cameroon from Germany to attend the Major National Dialogue that took place in Yaounde-Cameroon has been arrested by security officials in Yaounde. Though the circumstance surrounding his arrest is still not clear, sources DrayInfos could not independently confirm, indicated that, Paddy Asanga as he is popularly called fell in the hands of security officials for allegedly taking pictures at the Kondengui Maximum Security Prison Tuesday October 08, 2019. Sources say, Paddy Asanga was visiting the prison when he decided to take pictures not knowing taking pictures without authorization was prohibited. The North West Regional Delegate for Secondary Education, Mr. Ngwang Roland Yuven says, insecurity has caused some teachers to start behaving like the Biblical Peter who denied Jesus Christ. Reports from Bali Nyonga, a village in Mezam Division of the North West Region of Cameroon say, many have sought  refuge in bushes following military raids on the village, Friday October 04, 2019. Sources in Bali have told  DrayInfos  that, closed to nineteen armored cars and one caterpillar invaded Bali thereby triggering a serious fight between Pro Independence fighters in Bali and the Cameroon military. “They passed at Ntafoang Squares in Bali Nyonga and shot one civilian. Two pro independence fighters were also killed. One was first shot and as he colleagues went to carry the body, the second one was shot. The military also recorded casualties but it was difficult to lay hands on the exact figure.  A nephew of mine in the core says four soldiers lost their lives though I have not been able to confirm” .  This driver told  DrayInfos . “We Need Peace, Not Food”- IDPs Tell Government In Bamenda.

During the recent distribution of Humanitarian Aids to Internally Displaced Persons at the esplanade of the NW governor’s office  by the Bamenda Regional Center for Humanitarian Assistance, many IDPs called on government to ensure that, peace returns saying food is not really what they need but Peace. Though they appreciated and thanked government for trying to see in to it that, they live a normal life, they called on government to embrace the path to peace so that, they can return to their communities and that food is not really what they are in need of. This lady is an internally displaced person from Njikwa. She says she and her family came to Bamenda after their house was razed to the ground.
