Bamenda: Government Delegate On Bended Knee Begging For Peace To Return.

The Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council, Vincent Ndumu Nji has used the installation ceremony of the new SDO for Mezam, Mr. Mooh Emile Simon, to plead for peace to return to the two Anglophone Regions of Cameroon. Vincent Ndumu Nji went down on his knees at the Bamenda Commercial Avenue Grand Stand, Tuesday October 22, 2019 calling on the population to return to the life they were living three years ago before the crisis showed its ugly face in 2016. Read Him:
“In the North West, many were mining sand and doing petit businesses, tilling the soil among others just to feed their families. Today, going to Bambui, Ndop, Fundong, Nkambe, Wum and many others is not an easy task. I am begging you people, let us invite God in to our hearts and forget about this crisis. Government will handle the problem and even if all the problems are not handled, it’s not enough for us to treat human beings like a cow taking to be slaughtered. Our children are not going to school; we have killed people, burnt houses. No matter how angry we are, let us think about ourselves as human beings. There are problems everywhere but I have never seen a situation where to solve a problem, we behead your own brothers and sisters, killing them like animals. I am begging with tears in my eyes on behalf of the population, we are very hard working people, we don’t know what has happened to us, we can solve our problems without kidnapping, torturing, killing, burning houses and preventing kids from going to school”.
Though many appreciated the effort of the Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council to see in to it that, peace returns to the two Anglophone Regions of the country, he also came under fire from those who think he was bias in his outing by not denouncing both sides for the atrocities that are being committed on a daily basis. A school of thought holds that, he spoke as if the atrocities that are being committed are coming from one side in the armed conflict which to them is not the case.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. Bamenda: Population Protests Killing Of Civilian By Uniform Officer

  Cross Section Of Protesting Crowd At Up Station  By Raymond Dingana The early hours of Thursday April 4,2024 was a tensed one at the Bamenda I council area following the stabbing to death of the young man identified as Junior Awazi popularly known as BJ by a uniform officer in civilian attire. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man. " It all started when the uniform officer in civilian attire wounded a girl's hand after she rejected his love advances. BJ intervene and the officer stabbed him three times and that was his end," narrates a witness who spoke to drayinfos on the basis of anonymity. Anglophone Crisis: Mouths To Go Hungry As Breadwinner Is Killed
