NWRA: President Calms Tempers As Debate On Traditional Cleansing Of Region Erupts Again
Members Of The North West House Of Chiefs By Raymond Dingana T he dust raised by the decision of members of North West House of Chiefs to cleanse the land has refused to settle perhaps for the time being. During the opening of the 9th Ordinary Session of the North West Regional Assembly (NWRA),12 December 2022 in Bamenda, the President, Fru Fobuzshi ANGWAFO III was able to prevent things from getting out of hand when issues surrounding the traditional cleansing exercise of the region came up again. As the items were being read from the minutes, some Honorable Members of the house could be heard murmuring as if to say they were not happy with the announced cleansing exercise.
