  Road Linking Bamenda And Mile 90 Nsongwa [Ptoto Credit: GPmEDIA] By Raymond Dingana  Drivers plying the Bamenda-Ekok road also known as the Bamenda-Enugu Corridor have been on a sit-down strike against extortion, hate speech amongst other forms of human rights abuses which they say are meted on them by security forces. According to the chauffeurs, apart from being forced at gun point to cough up huge sums to satisfy their ever increasing hunger for money, the soldiers stationed along that road have been calling them names and using hate language on them. We pay more than 30.000FCFA each to these soldiers per day from Bamenda to EKOK. Just from Bamenda town to Mile 90 Nsongwa, a distance of less than 4KMs, there are eight security checkpoints and we spend 8000FCFA each every blessed day. Isa Adamu, Private Secretary to the Prime Minister  The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, yesterday appointed Isa Adamu Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Head of Government. The appointment is contained in presidential decree No. 2022/2023/ 027. He now occupies the position that had been vacant for about two years. Prior to his appointment, Isa Adamu, 33, served as a charge d’étude in the Prime Minister’s office. Chief Mathias Chi Eweh By Raymond Dingana Chief Mathias Chi Eweh,his son and four others have been killed by suspectedherdsmen in a farming community of Munkep,Fungom sub division, Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. The armed herdsmen said to have come in from Nigeria reportedly stormed the area and carried out the killings. Though it is not clear what provocked the killings, we garthered from sources that this is not that first time herdsmen belief to be coming from neighboring Nigeria are staging cross-border attacks in that area. Last year, many were killed when they protested that cattle belonging to herdsmen from Nigeria had encroached in to their farm lands and destroy their crops.
