FEHACU 2022: Fon Azehfor III Of Nkwen Settles On Peace As Pathway To Development

His Majesty Fon Azehfor III of Nkwen has invited sons and daughters of his fondom to choose the path of peace in order for development to florish.

The traditional authority was speaking at the openning ceremony of the second edition of the Festival of  Heritage Arts and Culture (FEHACU), Wednesday December 2022.

Let us all unite for peace and development in our communities. Let us denounce nepotism, discrimination, tribalism amongst others. We should promote peaceful co-existence, hardwork and  acceptance, Fon Azehfor indicated.


HRM Azehfor III Of Nkwen Addressing The Population

Peace his Majesty highlighted is crucial for the Socio-Economic Development of the subdivision and should be preserved jealously at all times.

Peace is the greatest weapon for development that every other person should have. We must be cautious to shun violence and embrace the true values of peace.

 Fon Azehfor III told the crowd.

He also called on parents to put their homes together for a better society.

Teach kids to respect, work hard, and have an exemplary attitude in all they do.

Fon Azehfor III also called on sons and daughters of the subdivision to work hard wherever they are to ensure that they emerge on top in whatever they do and make their communities proud.

He cautioned those still in school to pick up technical and vocational education. This he says is the bedrock of employment after leaving school for there is no jobless technician anywhere on earth.

On developing the subdivision, the Fon called on the government to fast-track the Bamenda Referral Hospital that is still begging for completion. He says it will not only improve quality health care but serves as the University Teaching Hospital.

This he added will bring in many more health practitioners into the subdivision and why not the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Bamenda,UBa.

The road situation in the sub division did not escape from the Fon's list of needs for his people. 

He called on the powers that be to improve the road infrastructure in and around the palace to increase accessibility and trade.

His Majesty Fon Azehfor III hopes that the over 100 exhibitors and 17 Fons who answered present plus the administration will carry the message of peace, unity, development, and prosperity to the rest of the region for without peace, no meaningful development can be realized.

His has invited all and sundry born or living in Nkwen to adopt republican values that can help push the Fondom forward.

The second edition of the Festival of Heritage, Arts and Culture, FEHACU, is proudly sponsored by Blue, the mobile network of Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL that can be accessed from everywhere around the  country.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man. " It all started when the uniform officer in civilian attire wounded a girl's hand after she rejected his love advances.
