Bamenda: Colbert Gwain Celebrates End Of Year With Colleagues

Gwain Colbert also known as the Colbert Factor and Mr.Bamenda has celebrated Christmas and New year with journalists in Bamenda, 23 Dec.2022.

This was during the Regional End of Year Cultural Festival organised by the NorthWest Regional Assembly that  took  place at the esplanade of the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam.

Appreciating the gesture by Golbert Gwain AKA The Colbert Factor, Mboushi Sydonie, a journalist with Sky Sports Community Radio said, 

“I appreciate the gesture because is not every day that journalists commune together. Indeed am ending the year well with Mr Kwain Colbert and I am happy.”

It should be noted that Colbert Gwain is also a Digital Rights Activist who has been fighting tooth and nail to see in to it that the Digital Rights of the population is respected. 

He is of those who has and is still championing good journalism in the North West Media Landscape.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. Bamenda: Population Protests Killing Of Civilian By Uniform Officer

  Cross Section Of Protesting Crowd At Up Station  By Raymond Dingana The early hours of Thursday April 4,2024 was a tensed one at the Bamenda I council area following the stabbing to death of the young man identified as Junior Awazi popularly known as BJ by a uniform officer in civilian attire. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man. " It all started when the uniform officer in civilian attire wounded a girl's hand after she rejected his love advances. BJ intervene and the officer stabbed him three times and that was his end," narrates a witness who spoke to drayinfos on the basis of anonymity.
