CBCHS,H@H Partner With CAMASEJ Bamenda Against Cervical Cancer Amidst Alarming Figures

  Workshop Resource Persons, And Participants In Family Photo By Raymond Dingana Members of the Bamenda chapter of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ-B) have joined forces with the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services CBCHS, and Humanity at Heart International H@H to eliminate Cervical Cancer amidst frightening statistics. Cervical Cancer is ranked fourth most common form of  cancer and fourth leading cause of death amongst women in the world. It is caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexual transmissible infection, and two types exist, the Low and High Risk types. The high risk type is the one that causes several types of cancer including cervical cancer. In Cameroon, it is ranked second and most common and leading cause of female cancer deaths in the country with 1,878 deaths of the 2,770 diagnosed cases in 2020. However, the good news is that cervical cancer is treatable if captured early enough, advocates for it's elimination

Passengers Escape Through Windows As Transport Bus Catches Fire

  The Bus Being Consumed By Fire By Raymond Dingana Passengers who left Yaounde enrout to the South West Region of Cameroon via a VIP bus on the night of Friday November 10 have escaped death through the windows when their bus caught fire around Yasaa on the Yaounde-Douala highway. Many passengers sustained serious wounds as they scrambled to make their way out through the windows given that the doors were locked when the fire erupted. The bus was burnt to ashes including people's valuables. Many have blamed the incident on the negligence of the bus driver whom reports say failed to avoid the disaster by stopping the vehicle when the fire started on the punctured tyres. ICT University VC In A Family Photo With Beauty Queens After The Anti- Sexual Abuse Seminar  By Raymond Dingana Students of the ICT University in Yaounde Cameroon have been urged to join the fight against sexual harassment, by denouncing cases of  sexual exploitations and other forms of inappropriate behaviors in the school environment. The call was echoed during a seminar organised by the ICT University to educate students and staff on what sexual abuse is all about and its consequences. The workshop was also an opportunity to inform the public that the phenomenon of sexual misuse is prohibited at ICT University and must be strongly condemned in all its facets. This has had a heavy toll on patients especially pregnant women who have seen their babies die simple because the competent hands are always irregular at work. The most recent case happened on August 23,2023 when life was snuffed out of some new born babies because those to ensure they survive were absent from their duty post at the time their pregnant mothers got to the hospital. While all is being put in place to give Ni John Fru Ndi a fitting burial come July 29,2023, security concerns are being raised on a daily basis. None State Armed Groups operating in Mezam Division, North West Region of Cameroon have not hide their antagonism towards the interment of Fru Ndi in the region. PM Dion Ngute Requests ICT University Boss To Continue Shining Cameroon’s Image Abroad

The PM made the declaration July 26 th in Yaounde during an audience granted Prof Victor Mbarika at the Star Building after the Professor’s return to the country from London where he won the African Achievers Award. The PM also used the occasion to acknowledge the distinguished professor on his fresh recognition as winner of the African Achievers Award. PPRD  Tamanjong Motuba Obese Talking At The Follow Up Committee Meeting Raymond Dingana  The National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon has invited local development partners especially mayors to get on board and ensure that projects under the PPRD are executed in record time. Tamanjong Motuba Obese was speaking at the first ever Follow Up Committee Meeting for the PPRD recently in Bamenda chaired by North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique. He said one of the challenges faced by the PPRD is poor collaboration coming from some administrators like mayors.
