As The War In The English Speaking Part Of Cameroon Persist, Civilians Continue To Perish.


The population of the Below Foncha , A neighborhood in Nkwen,  Bamenda 3 sub division of the North West Region of Cameroon has finally breathe a sigh of relieve following the discarding of the lifeless body of a young man who was  shot by yet to be identified individuals on the night of Thursday. Sources around the Below Foncha neighborhood say, they heard gun shots on the night of Thursday breaking Friday July 12, 2019 only to get up Friday morning to the gruesome discovery of the lifeless body of a boy whose identity is yet to be established. According to a lady, who resides around that area, she heard gun shots late in the night and the result was what they discovered in the morning. “I heard gun shots and thought it was the normal gun shots I am used to. Little did I know someone’s life has been snatched away. This is because it did not appear like there was actually a gun battle. It’s like the boy was brought there, murdered and his body dumped on the tar mark. I only heard neighbors the following morning saying a corps was lying at Below Foncha. When I got there, I saw the body of a young man lying in the pool of his own blood.” “The corps was later carried away by some individuals to an undisclosed location”. She added.The recent killing brings to about three civilians forced to the world beyond as a result of the ongoing war in the Bamenda, chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon as recorded by DRAY INFO. The number could be more. Pa Fru Bennego residing at the Ngulung neighborhood in Mankon was shot and killed by those eye witnesses say were armed men dressed in military wears last Wednesday July 10, 2019. Godlove who was working at a Quarry in mile 8 Mankon owned by a renowned Bamenda based business man was forced to exit the world when he was gunned down on his way from work same day.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. Bamenda: Population Protests Killing Of Civilian By Uniform Officer

  Cross Section Of Protesting Crowd At Up Station  By Raymond Dingana The early hours of Thursday April 4,2024 was a tensed one at the Bamenda I council area following the stabbing to death of the young man identified as Junior Awazi popularly known as BJ by a uniform officer in civilian attire. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man. " It all started when the uniform officer in civilian attire wounded a girl's hand after she rejected his love advances. BJ intervene and the officer stabbed him three times and that was his end," narrates a witness who spoke to drayinfos on the basis of anonymity.
