By Raymond Dingana
The Coordinator of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Center DDR Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon, Kum Henry Ichu says only dialogue can solve problems not guns.
His message was directed at those he said are still carrying guns in the bushes fighting the state of Cameroon.
This was Friday Octber 15,2021 during the wake service of the two ex-fighters who were gunned down by security officials at the Ntambang Integreted Center at Old Town Bamenda under unclear circumstances,
"To those still carrying guns in the bushes, guns donot solve problems, dialogue do. If every day we are lighting the fire under the pot so that it should be boiling , when that smoke that is coming out start sofocating people, we too are going to suffer same fate," Kum said.
He also appealed to the population especially those on the social media to stop propagating what he described as false information against the DDR Center.
He said those tarnishing the image of the center are a disgrace to themselves.
On the death of the two repentant separatist fighters, Kum Henry explained that, multiple investigations are on going to establish what really happened to them.
He disclosed that, the remains of the two boys will be removed from the Regional Hospital Mortuary in Bamenda and taken straight to Ako were they will be given a befitting burial as instructed by the National Cordinator of DDR, Fai Yengo Francis.
Friends to the deceased repentant separatist fighters said the death of their colleagues is a shock to them.
