By Raymond Dingana

Religious authorities in Ndop, notably Rev. Father Michael Mua, Parish Priest, St. Peter and Paul's Parish Bamumka Ndop, and Rev. Philip, Parish Pastor, Presbyterian Church Bamumka Ndop say they can't be indifferent when the sacredness of human life is being violated in an undignifying manner.

This amongst others are contained in a letter from the office of the Ecumenical Movement for Christian Unity, Bamumka Ndop tiltled The Balkanization Of Human Life And Property In Ndop addressed to the Senior Divisional Officer,SDO of Ngoketunjia Division, Northwest region of Cameroon.

A part of the document reads:
The population of Ndop have been living for a couple of months charecterised by random killings and street display of corpses that sometimes take more than two days in hot sun and rain before they are desposed of , and the setting ablaze of homes and businesses by the forces of law and order.
The document notes that the display of corpses is dehumanizing, undignifying and traumatizing to the population especially children and expose them to dangerous and untold health harzards.

The setting abalze of houses and businesses could not escape the areas that touched the religious authorities,
The setting ablaze of homes and businesses of an already empoverished population by the forces of law and order as a result of the ongoing armed conflict can only make a bad situation worse.
They have therefore decried what they described as a state of anarchy reigning in Ndop which they say is responsible for the untold suffering and misery the people are going through.

The men of God have also urged the SDO to take prompt measures to arrest what they said is a deplorable state of living in Ndop.

The authorities are yet to react to the letter addressed to them by the Clergy.

Letter To The SDO of Ngoketunjia Division

On the 23 of March 2022, suspected separatist fighters attacked travelers between Sabga and Ndop abducting three and setting many cars ablaze.

Though this did not feature in the letter signed by the religious authorities, it was also widely condemned.
