The women got to know about the huge sums of money placed at their disposal during an event to economically empower women and young persons and promote harmony in existence with the environment for a better livelihood.

The come-together that took place at the Gwan Multipurpose Center in Bali Nyonga, Friday, 14 October 2022, was also an opportunity to advocate for the rights of women and the girl child in rural communities, support learners and persons living with disabilities with back-to-school needs amongst others.

More Women Groups

As indicated by the President General of Nkumu Fed Fed,Mrs Eunice Tita Tata, a Gender Expert, it is not only about schooling but empowering parents to see the education of their children till the end.

“It is not enough to urge kids to go to school and learn. Parents need to be equipped economically for them to see their children through school. This explains why leaders of the 11 women groups were trained in Douala during our 25th General Assembly,” said Nkumu Fed Fed’s president.
The cheques were made available by Nkumu Fed Fed Washington DC branch and supported by the other 12 branches of the organization.

Just like the General President of Nkumu Fed Fed always says, the best way to bless a woman and a girl child is to empower them in all forms. As such, being a gender activist will help break the back of Gender-Based Violence, GBV.

Birthed in 1996, Nkumu Fed Fed, a not for profit organization made of sisters from Bali Nyonga with the spirit to support the less previlegde.

Empowering women has also always been one of their main goals.
