Labour Minister Decorates Essoka Security Staff

The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Gregoire Owona has celebrated hardwork by decorating 237 workers of Essoka Security Ltd. The workers received their Labour Medals, Monday July 3rd, 2023.

The Medal Award ceremony that took place at the Yaounde City Hall presided over by the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Gregoire Owona. 

Talking on behalf of the recipients, Alfkir Ndongmo, a Staff representative disclosed that they have been patiently waiting for such an initiative. He added that 

Essoka Security is cleaning the  streets of job seekers by providing employment. 

He saluted the effort in service by the recipients, calling on other staff to copy such strides to be next in the nearest future.

The Managing Director of ESSOKA Group, Nsoh Joseph Musongong, of which Essoka Security Ltd is part, said Essoka Security has taken the engagement to provide reliable, secured, and do qualified security services to persons and institutions in Cameroon despite the challenges. 

In real events when workers involved in security matters are celebrated like this, we owe profound gratitude and stewardship to the government of Cameroon who through the Honorable Minister of Territorial Administration Mr. Atanga Nji Paul has allowed us to protect lives and properties while at the same time reducing the rate of unemployment through Essoka Security,"

 he pointed out.

The Challenges of ESSOKA Security as explained by the CEO ranges from accrued debts, especially from government institutions who not only delay in paying bills for security services duly rendered, but equally complicates matters with cumbersome administrative bottlenecks. 

He also invited the government of Cameroon to not only pay bills on time but equally grant them subventions. To the workers, he said they should be guided by the principle of excellence.

Minister Gregoire Owona before honoring the workers of Essoka Security Ltd, declared the full support of the government to all ensured workers under the national insurance employment fund. He appreciated Essoka Security for being up to date in the discharge of her duties despite the socio-political atmosphere.

Nyieta Napoleon a recipient of a Silver Gilt Medal, a Silver Medal, and a Gold Medal stated that the Medals are proof of hard work and a motivation to do more. 

Essoka Security was created in 1998 and authorized by Presidential decree no: 2006/425 with the mission to provide private security services to varied clientele which has created employment for hundreds of Cameroonians.
