The Ntambeng Cooperative Credit Union Limited (NTAMCCUL) is thriving despite economic difficulties in the country following the October 12 presidential election.

In 2025, NTAMCCUL saw a jump in membership, reaching 37,411 members, up from 33,845 in 2024. This growth was announced during the 58th annual general meeting (AGM) held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Catholic Mission Hall in Ntambeng.

During the AGM, the Board of Directors (BoD) reported a net profit increase of 59,292 Francs compared to the previous year. In a show of confidence, the Union allocated 133,384,930 Francs to members as interest on their savings, providing a 4% return.

Ndonwi Derick Shu, the BoD President, highlighted that the institution's success comes from hard work.

"Our membership, savings, and financial strength are all growing. NTAMCCUL is present nationwide. We set goals and encourage everyone to meet them. We actively engage with our members,"

Ndonwi told the media.

He also pointed out that NTAMCCUL offers valuable services that attract new members, noting,

"NTAMCCUL is a top credit union for managing agricultural finances in Cameroon, including subsidy credits."

General Manager Awah Eveline shared the 2026 budget outlook, expecting an income of 778,643,942 Francs against expenses of 777,929,338 Francs. She expressed the Union's goal to attract about 5,260 new members this year.

Looking ahead to 2026, NTAMCCUL plans to fully adopt TEKSOL software in all branches, increase the overall financial balance by at least 20%, reduce external debt to zero, and open new branches in Douala and Yaoundé. Improved governance and regulatory support will also be priorities.

Anye Cyprian Nde, representing the apex institution RECCUCAM, praised NTAMCCUL for boosting reserves and maintaining healthy deposit levels. He reminded members of a ministerial directive requiring the transfer of long-dormant funds to the state.

The AGM also included the election and re-election of officials for the Women's, Youth, and Supervisory Committees to guide the Union's future.
