Crime: Mob Beats Young Man To Near Death After Break-In Attempt In Bamenda

The Suspect Receiving Serious Beatings From An Angry Mob

 By Raymond Dingana

A young man was caught and severely beaten after attempting to steal from a home in the Sisia neighborhood of Nkwen, Bamenda III Municipality. The incident occurred on Tuesday after he noticed that everyone in the compound had gone out.

Unfortunately for him, a family member returned home early and stumbled upon the thief, who managed to flee. He reportedly returned home, bathed, and changed his clothes before going to his business at the Nkwen market, where he sells dresses.

Little did he know that the motorcycle rider who transported the family member recognized him. The rider rallied his colleagues, who stormed the Nkwen market, picked up the suspect, and took him back to the crime scene where he was severely beaten.

As the beatings intensified, he could be heard saying he was under a spell.

He was lucky that police officers arrived on time to save him. He is currently licking his wounds behind bars. This was reportedly the third time he had stolen from that compound.
