Danny Green explained that his collaboration with Minks was a deliberate move to attract attention from other parts of the country and expand his reach in the music industry.

"The second collaboration is with a super Star from the other side of the Mungo, that's minks that's because we need to get attention from the other side of the industry".

The six-track project explores different musical genres, including love songs, Makossa, Njang dance and other genres. Through his music, Danny Green also reaffirms his strong connection to the North West Region, describing himself as a proud son who remains attached to his roots.

He said his return to Bamenda was an opportunity to reconnect with his people and present a project he had been developing over the years.

"I cannot do without my people, my people are the air I breathe so I came to breathe fresh air and also to present this beautiful project that I have been working on for the past years to my people."

The artist said he chose to meet the media first to seek guidance, advice and support as he prepares to promote the EP. He believes that gaining recognition and encouragement from his home community will be essential to the success of his musical career.

"Charity they say begins at home and coming home I had to meet the media, the people who are pulling the work to make sure information circulates around the people."

Explaining why he met journalists before officially presenting the project to the public, Danny Green added

"I came first to them not just to bring the EP to them but also to get inspiration, advice, to get guidance and how to push the EP."

He called on the people of the North West Region to support his musical journey, stressing that an artist's background and community play an important role in shaping success.

"I need my people to rally behind me for us to make this a great success."

He further emphasised the importance of staying connected to one's roots, stating that

" a man is nothing without his people and his background, if you don't honor your background your background can put your back to the ground."

Beyond music, Danny Green described Bamenda 1st Son as a project intended to promote unity, resilience and hope in Bamenda despite the challenges posed by the ongoing crisis in the region.

"let us let the world know that Bamenda is still standing strong no matter the crisis, the pain, the agony we still are forging ahead."

He said Bamenda represents strength and determination, qualities he believes should inspire people both at home and abroad.

"Bamenda stands for resilience, strength and tenacious and everyone around the world who is tenacious should resonate with the people of Bamenda because that is what we are made of."

The release party for Bamenda 1st Son is scheduled to take place at Happy Star, Makepe, Douala, on October 30, 2026, beginning at 4 p.m.
