  Akumbom Elvis Being Treated After Attack By Raymond Dingana  Journalist Akumbom Elvis McCarthy, a paralegal, was attacked by bodyguards of a sub-chief in Meforbe Quarter, Santa Sub-Division, Mezam Division, North West Region, Cameroon. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 15th 2025, at a funeral ceremony for McCarthy's brother's father-in-law, Pa Forsuh. During the ceremony, the chief was about to deliver a speech, and everyone was asked to stand as a sign of respect.  " I stood up up but ill health could not permit me stand for long reason why I had to regain my seat,"  said Akumbom.
