They have called on inhabitants to feel free to book their tickets at their agencies and travel to where ever they want to from Wednesday.

In a declaration signed by eight representatives of Inter-Uurban transport businesses, they said,

"We have unanimously agreed to continue with our normal activities ensuring the movements of persons and goods to and from Bamenda,"

reads the declaration which continues that the decision was arrived at taken in to consideration Taxi men, Buyam sellams, Bike riders and others whose lifestyle is connected to their own activities in one way of the other.

For this to come to fruition, the transporters have called on the population to stand in solidarity with them to saying No to shutdown of what they called express services.

They have also called on those trying to frustrate their activities to please stay away from their agencies, buses, passengers, etc.

Worthy of note is the fact that many persons missed out on their appointments and others simply because they could not travel out of Bamenda due to what befell transport agencies.

With the latest development which from every indication has been embraced by all and sundry, hopes are high that even those who tried to obstruct the Inter-Urban Transport business will reconsider their decision and allow the population to breath.

Many have however said, they will observe for a while before boarding any Inter-Urban transport bus because to them, Bamenda is slippery even in the dry season.
