Nkumu Fed Fed Intensifies Humanitarian Activities In Bali, Makes Massive Donations To Vulnerable Persons


Donations Nkumu Fed Fed Texas Made To The Bali Health District

The Health, Education, Human Rights and Livelihoods in the crisis hit Bali Nyonga in the restive North West Region (NWR) of Cameroon have tasted the magnanimity of Nkumu Fed Fed, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) focusing on ameliorating the living conditions of disadvantaged populations.

During the Nkumu Fed Fed Human Rights, Education, Health, and Livelihoods Jamboree that took place at the Gwan Multipurpose Center in Bali recently, the NGO made huge donations to the above mentioned areas.

In the health sector,  Nkumu Fed Fed, Texas branch gifted oxygen cylinders and hygiene kits to the Bali Health District . The items were received by the Director of Bali District Hospital, Dr. Kamilu Ibrahim.

"We are very happy to have received Oxygen Kits which comprise of oxygen concentrators,oxygen bottles and accessories from Nkumu Fed Fed. This came at a time when we needed these items because there are a lot of referrals for people who need those services. We would  now be able to take care of them and limit their expenses and difficulties of transportation due to insecurity that they encounter from here to Bamenda,"

said Dr. Ibrahim who thanked the donors for supporting the health department in Bali.

Representing the donors, Nkumu Fed Fed Texas branch, Tangeh Beatrice, pioneer President of Nkumu Fed Fed Texas came all the way from Texas, United States Of America to witness the event.

" Fed Fed Texas has a lot to do in the health committee, secure Livelihood. We donated oxygen tangs to the hospitals in Bali,we have given soft loans to four different women's groups in Bali, we have supported education in Mbufung. I will encourage my Fed Fed Texas members that we shouldn't relent in our efforts to help our people back home."

As far as education is concerned, more than 400 students and pupils saw part of  their fees paid by Nkumu Fed Fed. The NGO also donated didactics and many others to make their lives comfortable.

Another group of persons that went home smiling were Persons with Disabilities, the elderly, indegenous groups who were blessed with food stuffs, hygiene kits amonsgt others. Survivors of Gender Based Violence also received start-up kits after a period of training on income generating activities.

During the Humanitarian Jamboree, Nkumu Fed Fed also reached out to vulnerable women with financial assistance of FCFA 500,000 to each group to be handed after members must have been trained on income generating activities under the social cohesion and livelihood programs.

According to the President General of Nkumu Fed Fed, Eunice Tita Tata, the NGO has five program areas where they intervene to make life better for citizens.

"We have health and in this area, we offered hospital equipment to health facilities in Bali Nyonga. In the area of Humanitarian, we supported more than 100 teenage mothers to be able to take care of their children. In education, we paid part of their school fees among others."

Taken aback by what he saw, the representative of the Fon of Bali, challenged men to also do what the women are doing and even better.


It is worth recalling that Nkumu Fed Fed is a network of sister associations that was born in 1996 with head quarters in Bali. It focuses on GBV related cases and helps survivors get back to their feet.

The NGO currently has 14 branches around the world with the latest being the Mamfe branch.
