President Paul Biya continues to receive strong support from members of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) as election day approaches.
The latest endorsement comes from Chenwi Gilbert Mzeka, also known as Big G, the President of the CPDM Sisia Subsection. He stated that no other candidate can lead Cameroon to its ideal future except President Paul Biya.
According to Chenwi Gilbert, President Biya has transformed Mezam I C into a construction hub, and plans are in place to ensure Biya receives 100% of the votes on Sunday, October 12.
He mentioned projects like the new market at Mile 4 in Bamenda III and the Mile 4 bridge, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute. He also highlighted the creation of the North West Regional Assembly (NWRA) and the appointment of local leaders.
Because of these achievements, Chenwi Gilbert, or Big G, declared his support for Biya and invited others to do the same.
Chenwi Gilbert Urges Youths to Contribute to Country's Development
Chenwi Gilbert expressed his passion for the development of Nkwen and Cameroon. He emphasized that developing the country is not just the government's job; it's a shared responsibility.
"We should fight for Cameroon, not wait for Cameroon to fight for us. We should not rely solely on the government for survival; we can work together to support ourselves and the government,"
he said.
He encouraged young people to become self-employed instead of waiting for government assistance.
Time for CPDM to Take Over Bamenda III
Chenwi Gilbert stated that the time for the CPDM to gain control in Bamenda III is now. He noted that, out of 34 councils in the North West Region, nearly all are controlled by the opposition Social Democratic Front (SDF), which he finds unacceptable.
"We must do everything we can to win that council next year and bring real development to the municipality,"
he said.
He added that significant groundwork has already been laid for the development plans in Bamenda III.
Chenwi Gilbert Supports the Less Privileged in Bamenda
As a philanthropist, Chenwi Gilbert, AKA Big G, has been helping those in need in Bamenda. In August, before school resumed, he gathered students from Sisia and other neighborhoods in Bamenda III, providing them with school supplies and other essentials.
"We have been providing food to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and educational materials to students,"
he said.
Notably, Chenwi Gilbert Mzeka is also a successful businessman with ventures in Nigeria and other countries. He owns Big G Snack at Mile 3, which has faced attacks from armed groups but continues to contribute to local development. He also runs GMC Logistics, with a branch in Nigeria, and he hails from Nso.
