Anglophone Crisis: Not Even Nursing Mothers, Widows Are Spared

Sadness has once again settled in the minds of many in Bali Nyonga, one of the epicenters of what has installed itself as Anglophone war of independence following the shooting to death of a nursing mother and a widow. 


Nursing Mother Killed In Bali Nyonga Sunday Night

In the night of Sunday breaking Monday Sep. 19, we gathered from sources at the Njenka neighborhood in Bali that,
a young nursing mother was pulled out of  her home in Njenka Haussa and gunned down by men dressed in military uniforms. No reason was given for such an act on such a harmless lady. Our hearts bleeds, said Mustapha Amisou.
The spirit of death also paid a visit to a family compound at Sang where it took away the life of a widow in her 70s by name Ma Anna. Here, heavily armed men in military uniforms that resemble those of the Cameroon military have been blamed. 

Her son was whisked off to an unknown destination while her mother's remains were left in the pool of her own blood.

There has been no word from the administration of the North West Region, Womens' Rights Groups, Traditional authorities, Human Rights Organizations like the National Commission for Human Rights and Freedoms. Many believe that waiting for any reaction from them is like waiting for a Carmel to pass through the eye of a niddle.

Road Accident Leaves Two Persons Dead Along Bamenda-Bambili Stretch

Chattered Vehicles As A Result Of Accident  By Raymond Dingana Township taxi drivers in Bamenda are still in shock following the death of one of theirs who died alongside his passenger at the Mile 6 neighborhood in Nkwen, on the Bamenda-Bambili road, Friday March 15, 2024. The accident that didn't only take away lives but caused enormous damages on the two vehicles involved has been attributed to over speeding. "The black private car was on top speed when it suddenly found itself on the other said of the road colliding with the taxi. The occupants of the private owned vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was coming from the Mile 6 direction while the taxi was heading towards Bamenda, " explained a witness. The passenger whose only name drayinfos got as Tigwe died on the spot, while the driver of the Starlet vehicle died later at the Regional Hospital in Bamenda. Bamenda: Population Protests Killing Of Civilian By Uniform Officer

  Cross Section Of Protesting Crowd At Up Station  By Raymond Dingana The early hours of Thursday April 4,2024 was a tensed one at the Bamenda I council area following the stabbing to death of the young man identified as Junior Awazi popularly known as BJ by a uniform officer in civilian attire. The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday breaking Thursday April 4 in a beer parlor at Up Station, Bamenda I Council area. The population was out in the streets expressing their grievances demanding justice for the slain young man. " It all started when the uniform officer in civilian attire wounded a girl's hand after she rejected his love advances. BJ intervene and the officer stabbed him three times and that was his end," narrates a witness who spoke to drayinfos on the basis of anonymity. Anglophone Crisis: Mouths To Go Hungry As Breadwinner Is Killed
