Tragedy In Nkambe: Two Feared Dead In Fatal Road Accident

The Truck At The Accident Scene By Raymond Dingana  A serious road accident in Nkambe town, North West Region of Cameroon, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, has left at least two people dead, the truck driver,and a commercial biker.  The driver was rushed to a health facility where he died, while the biker died on the spot. Four others sustained serious injuries and are being treated in a health facility in Nkambe. Witnesses report that a speeding truck lost control, left the road, and crashed into a workshop at the Mount Calvary garage junction. An apprentice and the shop owner's child were hurt in the crash. A motorbike rider tried to dodge the out-of-control truck but crashed instead. Sadly, the rider died, and his passenger was injured. Nwa: Suspect In Double Homicide Of Elderly Women Evades Mob Justice

Suspected Killer  By Raymond Dingana People in Mfe, a village in the Nwa Sub Division of the North West Region of Cameroon, are feeling shocked and sad after a young man allegedly killed two elderly women. The suspect, known as Yongmeh, is said to have committed the crime a few days ago when the women caught him stealing chickens and raised an alarm. Yongmeh confronted them, and after a heated argument, he hit one woman with a stick and attacked the other with a machete. The first victim died immediately, while the second was taken to a health facility but later died from her injuries.  After realizing the seriousness of his actions, the suspect tried to escape but was caught by villagers. They were about to beat him to death when others said it was better to call the police. The suspect was then detained, where he is helping security forces with their investigation. Two People To Appear In Court For Trafficking Giant Pangolin Scales

Pangolin Scales   By Raymond Dingana  Two individuals will appear in the High Court of Tibati on October 22nd to face charges of illegally possessing giant pangolin scales. They were arrested while trying to sell the scales on July 3rd in Tibati during a crackdown by wildlife officials from the Djerem Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife, working with the Gendarmerie Company of Tibati and assisted by the Last Great Ape Organisation (LAGA). The suspects were found with two bags of giant pangolin scales near a bus station. The scales were hidden in cardboard boxes and grain bags. Nearly 90 kg of scales were seized. Sources close to the case, who wished to remain anonymous, said the suspects are part of a larger wildlife trafficking network that involves poachers collecting scales from villages around Tibati.  This network includes hunters, bike riders, and public transport drivers. The structure was funded by the state and built by the North West Regional Assembly,(NWRA) under the stewardship of Hon. Fru Angwafo III.
